Update on PSA, Solar Project, and Parish Budget

Thank you for your generosity!  We exceeded our 2024 Pastoral Services Appeal goal.  The surplus – plus a significant grant, a few large gifts, the Committee Hispano food sales, and our expectations around the upcoming school auction – all but assure the solar project will be fully funded.  The city permitting is almost complete.  It appears the installation can take place in June once the academic year finishes.

Halfway through our parishes’ fiscal year, we are on budget.  The momentum from a most timely stock donation and estate gift augments the weekly parish Sunday Offertory income.  Our Sunday offertory needs to increase to meet parish expenses, as you can see in the First Fruits column on page 3 of the bulletin.  I am hopeful about the remainder of this year as more and more members of our faith community adopt a stewardship lifestyle.  Our parish has so much potential for identifying and sharing our charisms!  Please take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory so we can match your charisms with the needs and ministries of the parish. Pick up a copy in the parish office or find it on our website: www.stjccm.org/the-spiritual-gifts-inventory. Thank you for your generosity.

In Christ,

Rev. Robert P. Capone
