Father Robert is getting to know our parish families. Here are some questions he had for the Camberos Family:
How long have you been members of St. Joachim Parish and what do you value?
We are Marco and Beatriz Camberos, we have 7 children, we have belonged to St. Joachim Church for 18 years, and we value the kindness of the priests who help us and inspire us to grow in our faith and obtain the sacraments.
What do you and your family members do: Occupation, hobbies, studies?
I (Marco) work in garden maintenance for the school district of Newport Mesa Unified School District for 22 years. My wife Beatriz is a housewife; we have 4 small children at home. Three of them attend elementary school and the youngest is 1 ½ years old. Our hobby as a family is to go camping.
What role does faith play in your lives?
As parents it is very important for us to transmit the faith to our children and celebrate the sacraments. On Sundays we pray as a family; during the prayer we have a space to talk with our children about the events that we have had during the week. One of the most important moments is to ask for forgiveness if we have offended each other. It is very important for us to instill the faith in our children.
