Good Grief
Charlie Brown, the Peanuts cartoon character, often said, “Good Grief,” with a sigh. Grief can be good in helping us adjust to loss, especially when accompanied by hope.
Our speaker series on hope continues this week. I will be presenting a reflection called Grief and Hope. English will take place on Thursday, February 6th, at 6:00 p.m. in Nevin Hall. Spanish will take place Friday, February 7th, at 7:30 p.m. in Nevin Hall.
In addition to exploring our own grief and hope, we will reflect on the relationship between a Church of mercy and the Gospel of Joy. Kathy Lewis, Jackie White, and Claudia Johnson will facilitate a Grief Support group in subsequent weeks. Lilia Velazquez and Juana Mendoza will facilitate a Grief Support group in Spanish for the weeks following. I hope to see you this week for Grief and Hope.
In Christ,
Rev. Robert P. Capone
