Church Painting and PSA
Thank you again for your generous response to our 2024 Pastoral Services Appeal. The Pastoral Services Appeal funds are used for mission critical ministries that positively impact us and the Diocese of Orange. This is accomplished by all the parishes working together. The ministries and services include Catholic Education, Catholic Charities of Orange County, Seminarian Formation, Vocations, The Permanent Diaconate, Priest Retirement, and so much more.
Your generosity helped us reach our parish meet the Diocese goal of $80,000! We were able fully fund our solar project with the surplus of $13,052. We are going to start the installation of the solar panels in June. Looking ahead to PSA 2025, I would like to designate the PSA rebates for the next three years be used to paint the interior and exterior of our worship space. The inside of the church was last painted around twenty-five years ago.
The projected cost is around $100,000. Given the balance in our Repair and Maintenance Account, we should be in a position to do the interior painting in the summer of 2026 given a strong response to the PSA 2025 campaign. Starting this month, any One Fund donations will also go toward the painting project. Thank you again for supporting the mission of the Church here at Saint Joachim and in the Diocese of Orange!
