MARRIAGE

The Sacrament of Marriage is a visible sign of God’s love for the Church. When a man and a woman are married in the Church, they receive the grace needed for a lifelong bond of unity. Vows are taken by a man and a woman, in a Catholic church in the presence of a priest or deacon, stating their intent to commit their lives in sickness and in health, for better or worse, till death do they part. The family can become a walking, living, and breathing icon of the Trinity, revealing God to the world who is a communion of persons, a relationship.
