CHARITY/OUTREACH MINISTRIES

Jesus calls us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. We have been blessed in many ways and God invites us to share those blessings with others. When our neighbor is in need we must be like the good seminarian, directing our time and resources to help them in whatever way we can. Our parish has many opportunities to help those in need. Please consider becoming a part of one of the ministries below to help your brother or sister in need.

For those in need of financial support, individuals can call the hotline to receive assistance for food, rent, transportation assistance, utilities, clothing or lodging. Added assistance is offered every Saturday morning.

Outreach

This ministry has been formed to serve the less fortunate in different ways, such as offering a Thanksgiving meal to the homeless, supporting unwed mothers in our respect life ministry, or collecting monies for stamps for the incarcerated. It assists the community of St. Joachim’s to be Christ’s hands and Christ’s feet. We build a stronger community within our parish by working together to serve the needs of those around us.
