Celebrating 75 Years
As part of our 75th Anniversary celebration, Saint Joachim Catholic Church has kicked off our $75 for 75 Campaign. Each parish family is invited to donate $75 to commemorate the 75 years of our existence and service in building the Kingdom of God at the corner of Orange Avenue and Walnut Street. All donations received will go to our “build-the-bathrooms” fund.
Msgr. Thomas J. Nevin celebrated Saint Joachim’s first Mass in Santa Ana on March 16, 1947. The first Mass celebrated at our current location was on Christmas Day in 1947. Our present parish church was dedicated in 1966, and the newer buildings (Nevin Hall and Shea Hall) were dedicated in 2005. Now, in our 75th year of existence, we invite you to help the parish to build a much overdue facility with ADA-compliant and family-friendly restrooms for women and men.
